The Napkin Project, 2024

Series of Monotypes
14” x 11” each

This series developed after noticing how my hands unconsciously molded a napkin during a meal. This act, performed without thought, became a form of documentation—capturing physical expressions through practical, inattentive hand gestures. Each work was printed from a napkin used during a shared meal. While these images serve as a personal and meditative way to document our time together, they also highlight what often goes unnoticed during everyday exchanges. Each work is a portrait of the napkin’s owner, captured by the shape of a tactile, disposable, and often forgotten object.

Sonic Hum, 2023

Series of marbled prints using soundwaves on cotton, silk, and paper
Dimensions variable

This collaborative project explores the act of self-soothing through humming and the patterns created by sound waves. Participants recorded their personal melodies, which were played through a speaker beneath a marbling bath. The sound vibrations agitated the water, transforming the ink into intricate patterns that mirrored the sound waves. The resulting prints on fabric or paper capture the essence of each person’s hum.
